Patrick WeedenFounder/Managing DirectorPatrick is the Managing Director of the Scout Aerial Group of companies (Scout Aerial Media and Surveying Pty Ltd, Scout Aerial Systems Pty Ltd and Scout Aerial Africa Pty Ltd).
Involved in RPAS innovation and the potential applications of new & emerging technologies, Patrick is dedicated to streamlining processes and utilising them to maximise project efficiencies and service delivery across the industry.
As an early starter in the Civil RPAS sector and one of the first operators to be certified by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority, he is extremely passionate about the RPAS industry as a whole, particularly the applications for improving processes and using this technology to create change for the better.
With diverse experience in the RPAS industry, he brings with him a keen understanding of project integration and safety system development. Unique exposure to operations and regulation development in Australia and Africa means that he is able to work ‘between the lines’ to design and develop suitable Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems for various markets with unlimited applications.
Brett HannanDirector / Composite TechnicianBrett is an extremely skilled Composite Technician. He brings years of experience from the aerospace industry (Airbus) in composite design, assembly and innovation. His precise attention to the tiniest details guarantees an exceptionally high standard of quality in everything that he builds.
Brett is passionate about aviation – you will find him crafting and flying RC Gliders in his spare time. Conservation is also close to his heart and he willingly dedicates his time and effort to the cause. He enjoys working closely in a team to come up with new ideas and solutions to all kinds of problems.
Brett resonates with Leonardo da Vinci’s quote: “For once you have tasted flight you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skywards, for there you have been and there you will long to return”.
Sarah WeedenGraphic Design & MarketingSarah brings a wealth of design knowledge spanning over 8 years as a graphic designer, specialising in branding and web development. As a part time wedding photographer, aerial image capture adds an exciting dimension to her photography passion.
Sarah is driven by the desire to contribute to a good cause and make a positive impact, big or small. She has a hawk eye for detail and a distinct creative flair, always looking to innovate and do things a little differently.
She is responsible for building the Scout Aerial brand, creating awareness of the problems that we aim to solve; and in doing this, hopes to inspire others to make a difference too.
Sarah’s philosophy is “Less, but better”.
