OUR BACKGROUND
Originally founded to supply Remotely Piloted Aircraft to anti-poaching groups in Africa, SAS identified an increasing demand for more rugged systems tailored for specific applications in harsh environments. After much research and development stemming from over 6 years of complex operations conducted by Scout Aerial Media and Surveying, we put a skilled team together to design and build highly capable systems.
Ease of use, longer flight times, improved durability and lower cost were all key indicators in successfully producing a range of affordable, capable, multi-role systems designed for use in harsh environments.
SAS Headquarters is based in Brisbane, Australia which also serves as the manufacturing facility. Flight testing is conducted in Australia and Southern Africa covering a diverse geographical layout.

OUR SYSTEMS
Our turnkey RPA systems are pivotal in supporting operational decision making, increasing efficiency and reducing data acquisition costs. Originally designed for use in the African bush; they are robust, easy to use and can fly autonomously in harsh environments. They can be set up and deployed in minutes and have an operating range in excess of 200kms.
With multiple payload options (RGB, NIR, Thermal, Multispectral, Hyperspectral and LiDAR), our platforms can be customised for many different mission types. A simple configuration change allows our RPAs to be used for multiple roles, particularly ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance) and Aerial Surveying operations.
All systems are designed and developed in-house and we utilise the highest level of quality control to ensure safety in all operations.
